The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and SIPA are continuing an intensive investigation against two persons suspected of international enticing persons into prostitution.

After the apprehension and interrogation of the suspects, who were deprived of liberty in the areas of ​​Doboj and Trnovo by the police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency-SIPA, the Prosecutor from the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption in charge of the case will decide on further activities in the case, which will ensure an unimpeded continuation of the investigation conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina with partner police agencies.

Two persons, namely a 32-year-old woman from Doboj and a 28-year-old man from Trnovo, are under investigation and they are suspected of making contacts and organizing the provision of sexual services, for which they recruited women - citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and other countries.

According to the collected evidence, such international recruitment and enticing into prostitution were most often carried out in rented apartments and hotels in the area of ​​Doboj and its surroundings.

In this way, the suspects gained unlawful material gain and exploited and took advantage of the persons they hired to provide sexual services, for the amounts of money they had previously agreed on.

The suspects are charged with the criminal offence of International Enticing Persons into Prostitution, referred to in Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the criminal offence of Soliciting to Prostitution, referred to in Article 169 of the Criminal Code of the Republika Srpska.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, SIPA and partner agencies are resuming their intensive investigation in this case.
