15.03.2019. 15:17

A Prosecutor from the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption has put forward a Motion with the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, seeking the measure of custody to be ordered against the following suspect:

CUSTODY PROPOSED AGAINST A CITIZEN OF MONTENEGRO SUSPECTED OF SMUGGLING OF ILLEGAL MIGRANTS

-      Slobodan Bošković, born in 1977 in Pljevlja, Montenegro, a citizen of Montenegro

The aforementioned suspect was deprived of liberty by police officers of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina while he was smuggling illegal migrants from the Middle East, who were smuggled from the territory of Montenegro to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The measure of custody has been proposed for the reasons set forth in Article 132, item a) of the Criminal Procedure Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, namely, due to the danger that, if at large, the suspect might become unavailable to the judiciary of Bosnia and Herzegovina, since the suspect is a citizen of a neighbouring country.

The suspect is subject to investigation for the criminal offence of Smuggling of Persons, as referred to in Article 189 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Motion for Custody has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
