BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE SATISFIED WITH FINAL SENTENCING JUDGMENT FOR CRIMINAL OFFENCE OF CORRUPTION

A final and binding Judgment has been rendered in respect of an employee of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies (DCPB) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, finding her guilty for corruption in employment and sentencing her to imprisonment for a term of one (1) year.

BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE SATISFIED WITH FINAL SENTENCING JUDGMENT FOR CRIMINAL OFFENCE OF CORRUPTION

Prosecutor of the Department III of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has received a Final Judgment confirming the guilty verdict for the accused Lejla Dautbašić, born in 1980.

This accused person has been found guilty on the basis of the Indictment of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, charging her with the commission of the criminal offence of Illegal Interceding (Article 219 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina) and the criminal offence of Fraud (Article 294 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina), and she has been sentenced to a single sentence of imprisonment for a term of one (1) year.

The accused is charged to have committed the corruption criminal offences, as an employee of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies (DCPB) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for the purpose of acquiring unlawful property gain, and with an aim of illegal interceding in the employment of certain persons.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is satisfied with the guilty verdict which is final and may not be appealed.
