BY ORDER OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH PERSON SUSPECTED OF CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY

It concerns a suspect for war crimes committed in the villages of Sanica and Hrustovo - municipalities of Ključ and Sanski Most in the spring of 1992.

BY ORDER OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH PERSON SUSPECTED OF CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY

Acting on the order of the Prosecutor from the Special Department for War Crimes, SIPA officers conducted an operation in which the following suspect was located, identified and deprived of liberty:

- Mićo Praštalo AKA Kudra, born in 1945 in Sanski Most.

The suspect is under investigation by a Prosecutor from the Special Department for War Crimes for having, in May and June 1992 while acting in his capacity as the commander of the 6th battalion of the RS Army’s 6th Brigade, acted contrary to the provisions of International Humanitarian Law and the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.

The suspect is charged with crimes against humanity committed by persecution of ethnic Bosniaks and Croats from Sanica and Hrustovo.

In the attacks on these villages 6 persons were killed and a number of persons unlawfully imprisoned. The attack itself resulted in the persecution of the entire population of ethnic Bosniaks and Croats from the area.

The suspect will be handed over to the Assigned prosecutor who will examine him and afterwards make a decision on a motion for custody or prohibiting measures as well as other activities in accordance with the law.
