PERSON ACCUSED IN THE CASE CODENAMED ‘MASK’ ENTERS INTO A PLEA AGREEMENT ADMITTING HIS GUILT. SENTENCE OF IMPRISONMENT PROPOSED. HE PLEDGES TO TESTIFY IN THE CASE AGAINST OTHER ACCUSED PERSONS

Dragan Šarenac (1981), who is accused of being a member of an organised group of people for international smuggling of Marijuana narcotic drug, has entered into a plea agreement admitting his guilt for participating in the commission of the criminal offences of Organised Crime and Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs, respectively.

The aforementioned accused has signed the Plea Agreement in the presence of his defence attorney and the Prosecutor in charge of the respective case, thus fully admitting his guilt for the commission of the criminal offences he is charged with by the Indictment. Pursuant to this Plea Agreement, the Prosecutor agrees that the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina imposes upon the accused a sentence of imprisonment for a term of two (2) years, as well as that all the objects used for the perpetration of the criminal offense in question be forfeited, including mobile phones and a package of the narcotic drug in the approximate quantity of one (1) kilogram, which was temporarily seized during the search.

The proposed sentence corresponds to the role that this accused person had in the commission of the criminal offences he is charged with.

Moreover, by virtue of signing this Plea Agreement, the accused has taken upon him an obligation to testify about all the facts known to him in this criminal case, as well as about all the perpetrators, co-perpetrators and accomplices in the commission of the criminal offences from the Indictment known to him, as well as about the criminal offences in which they participated.

The accused confirms that he is informed of the content of the Plea Agreement and he also confirms that he enters this plea of guilty voluntarily, consciously and with understanding, and he takes upon himself an obligation to bear the costs arising from the criminal proceedings, in the amount that may be determined by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

By signing this Plea Agreement, the accused waives his right to appeal to the Judgment rendered against him by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the basis of this Plea Agreement.

This Plea Agreement has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
