UPON THE ORDER OF THE BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE, ONE SUSPECT OF WAR CRIMES COMMITTED IN KLJUČ, IN 1992, DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY

Acting upon the order of a Prosecutor from the Special Department for War Crimes, police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) have deprived of liberty one person suspected of crimes against humanity committed in the territory of Ključ. The suspect has been deprived of liberty in the area of Banjaluka.

Also, in the same case, another person suspected of crimes against humanity committed in the territory of Ključ will be questioned upon the Prosecutor’s order.

In the interest of further investigation, the identities of these suspects will not be revealed at this stage.

The aforementioned suspects are under investigation and they are charged, as members of the Army of Republika Srpska, with the participation in the killing of six (6) Bosniak male victims, in August of 1992, in the villages of Kamičak and Krasulje in the vicinity of Ključ, whereby they committed the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity, as referred to in Article 172 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After the suspects have been questioned, the Prosecutor in charge of this case will decide on further activities in accordance with the law.
