INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR ILLICIT TRADE IN EXCISE PRODUCTS
22.01.2021. 10:56- BRANIMIR ROGAČ, born in 1960 in Crkvice, in the Republic of Montenegro, a citizen of the Republic of Montenegro, who is currently remanded in custody.
This accused person is charged with illegally acquiring a larger quantity of excise goods on the territory of the Republic of Montenegro, namely, various types and brands of cigarettes, which were not marked with control and tax stamps in the manner prescribed by the tax legislation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the intention of placing them on the illegal market in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
According to the allegations in the Indictment, on 11 January this year, the accused transported the said cigarettes in a passenger motor vehicle, and he was caught driving the said vehicle when he was controlled by authorized officials of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who prevented him from carrying out his intentions.
The aforementioned accused person is charged with having committed the criminal offense of Illicit Trade in Excise Products, referred to in Article 210a, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in conjunction with Article 26 of the same Code.
The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
