ON ORDER OF PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH, EXTENSIVE OPERATION CARRIED OUT AT SEVERAL LOCATIONS IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
21.01.2021. 14:56Acting on an order of the Head of the Terrorism Section of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, SIPA police officers and police officers from the Zenica-Doboj Canton Ministry of Interior are conducting searches and deprivations of freedom at several locations in the Zenica-Doboj Canton, Tuzla Canton and Sarajevo Canton.
Information and evidence were collected through investigative and operational activities that persons previously associated with radicalised persons had procured a certain amount of weapons and explosives, the acquisition and possession of which are not allowed, with the intention of smuggling them into EU countries, where they would be used to carry out criminogenic activities.
During the search and deprivation of freedom, weapons, explosives and mines were found and seized.
The activities were carried out in cooperation and communication with the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and the Zenica-Doboj Canton Ministry of the Interior.
Further activities will be carried out on orders of a prosecutor from the Terrorism Section, who leads and coordinates the operation.
