After interviewing the suspects, the prosecutor of the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption working on the case sent a motion to the Court of BiH to order custody and prohibition measures for the following suspects:

1.        Ranko Vuković, born in 1969 in Foča, custody in the duration of 30 days for the reasons described in Article 132 (1) (b) and (c) of the Criminal Procedure Code of BiH (CPC BiH), that is, because of the risk that by remaining at large, he could obstruct the investigation, conceal evidence and exert influence on witnesses or accomplices, as well as repeat the criminal offence or complete the started one.

2.        V.R., born in 1976 in Plužine, citizen of Montenegro, custody in the duration of 30 days, for the reasons described in Article 132 (1) (a) of the CPC BiH, due to the risk of flight of the suspect, and the issuance of an international arrest warrant because the suspect is in territory of Montenegro.

3.        Jovan Milutinović, born in 1994 in Foča, a measure prohibiting him from leaving his place of residence, banning him from travelling and restricting his movement to the address where the suspect resides, as referred to in Article 126 of the CPC BiH.

4.        Ratko Janković, born in 1994 in Foča, a measure of prohibiting him from leaving his place of residence, banning him from travelling, restricting his movement to the town of Foča and mandatory periodic reporting to the police station, as referred to in Article 126 of the CPC BiH.

5.        Radenko Obrenović, born in 1969 in Foča, a measure of prohibiting him from leaving his place of residence, banning him from travelling, restricting his movement to the town of Foča and mandatory periodic reporting to the police station, as referred to in Article 126 of the CPC BiH.

The suspects are under investigation and they are charged as an organised group with smuggling and reselling large quantities of excise products, which were not marked with excise stamps of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in accordance with BiH tax legislation.

In this way, they acquired unlawful material gain in large amounts, and caused damage to the budget and all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH continues the intensive investigation with regard to all the suspects who were included in the operation carried out by the police officers of the BiH Border Police and the RS Ministry of the Interior on an order of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
