THREE SUSPECTS OF CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY COMMITTED IN ZVORNIK AREA DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY UPON ORDER OF BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE

The suspects thus deprived of liberty are charged with the war crime that was committed during the attack on the village of Jusići near Zvornik, in May of 1992, in the course of which forty-eight (48) victims of Bosniak ethnicity were killed.   
  • THREE SUSPECTS OF CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY COMMITTED IN ZVORNIK AREA DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY UPON ORDER OF BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE

Acting pursuant to an Order issued by a Prosecutor from the Special Department for War Crimes, police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) have located, identified and deprived of liberty the following suspects:

1.    Branko Studen, born on 01 September 1963 in Zvornik

2.    Pero Radić, aka ‘Jarac’ /’He-Goat’/, born on 11 June 1959 in Zvornik

3.    Božo Vidović, born on 07 January 1954 in Zvornik.

These suspects are under investigation by the Special Department for War Crimes and they are suspected, as members of the Territorial Defence of the Serbian Municipality of Zvornik, of participation in a widespread and systematic attack directed against civilian population of Bosniak ethnicity in the area of Zvornik and its surroundings, as well as of participation in the attack on the village of Jusići, which was populated by Bosniak civilians.

The suspects are charged with the criminal offence of Crimes against Humanity, as referred to in Article 172 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After the questioning of the suspects, the Prosecutor in charge of the case will make a decision regarding further activities in this case.
