REPRESENTATIVES OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH ATTENDED THE REGIONAL CONFERENCE ON JUDICIAL REFORM AND THE ROLE OF PROFESSIONAL JUDICIAL ASSOCIATIONS IN BELGRADE

Central topics of the conference were related to judicial reform processes in the Western Balkans, transparent and objective evaluation of prosecutors as well as the importance of the role of professional associations in the judicial reform process.
Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH Ibro Bulić, Head of Section III of the Special Department for War Crimes, gave a presentation concerning the process of transparent and objective evaluation of prosecutors.
The representative of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH presented about the system for evaluating the performance of prosecutors in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the methodology and criteria important for the evaluation of prosecutors.
Representatives of international associations of prosecutors as well as representatives of the prosecutorial associations from the region have also addressed the conference participants.
The opening remarks were given by the Minister of Justice and Public Administration of the Republic of Serbia - Nikola Selaković and President of the Association of Prosecutors of Serbia - Dr Goran Ilić.
The conference included discussions about the judicial system reform process, which was or is still being implemented in the countries of the region, and the situation in the countries where they are just now establishing the system of prosecutorial investigations in the criminal proceedings.
This international professional gathering was attended by representatives of the prosecutor's offices, judicial institutions and professional judicial associations from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Ireland and the USA as well as the OSCE Mission in Serbia.
Representatives of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH are actively participating in all professional conferences related to the strengthening of cooperation between prosecutorial and judicial institutions in the region in line with the upcoming process of European integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The conference in Belgrade was organized by the Association of Prosecutors of Serbia with the support of the OSCE Mission.
