INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST ONE PERSON FOR ILLICIT TRADE IN EXCISE PRODUCTS
18.10.2013. 15:38Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH has issued an Indictment against R. K. (1974) from Mostar, citizen of BiH and the Republic of Croatia.
The accused R. K. is charged with procuring cigarettes without excise stamps and cigarettes with excise stamps of neighbouring countries, namely Republic of Croatia, Republic of Serbia and the territory of Kosovo, from persons known to him, during the year of 2010, and putting these cigarettes on the market in a store in Međugorje.
Pursuant to the Indictment, on 22 September 2010, police officers of the Police Department of the FBiH in Sarajevo found and temporarily seized 1,194 boxes of cigarettes of different brands in the aforementioned store; those cigarettes were not marked with control and tax stamps in the manner prescribed by the tax legislation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The accused R. K. is charged with illicit putting on the market excise products that were not marked with control and tax stamps in the manner prescribed by the tax legislation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whereby he committed the criminal offense of Illicit Trade in Excise Products, as referred to in Article 210a of the BiH CC.
The Indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
