INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST FOUR PERSONS FOR ILLICIT INTERNATIONAL TRAFFICKING IN NARCOTIC DRUGS

A prosecutor of the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH filed an indictment against:
  • INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST FOUR PERSONS FOR ILLICIT INTERNATIONAL TRAFFICKING IN NARCOTIC DRUGS
  1. RADOJICA BAĆOVIĆ, born in 1978 in Nikšić, a citizen of Montenegro,
  2. MARKO KRTOLICA, born in 1978 in Nikšić, a citizen of Montenegro,
  3. NIKOLA VEMIĆ, born in 1983 in Nikšić, a citizen of Montenegro and
  4. MILORAD KOPRIVICA, born in 1977 in Nikšić, a citizen of Montenegro.

The accused have been in detention since 7 December2018 under a decision of the Court of BiH.

The defendants are charged that they, as members of an organised criminal group, with clearly defined roles and tasks aimed at acquiring property gain, were involved in the transportation, sale, keeping, mediation and international trafficking in the narcotic drug ‘cannabis’.

According to the allegations from the indictment, the accused Radojica Baćović agreed with a person from Nikšić he knew to transfer the narcotic drugs from the Republic of Montenegro to BiH for a monetary compensation, under a prior mutual agreement with the other accused.

The indictment alleges that the accused were stopped in their intent and prevented by officials of the Border Police of BiH in the Bileća border area, on the local road Crkvice, Republic of Montenegro - Korita BiH, while they were travelling from Montenegro to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that after the search of the cars they used, a total of 210.85 kilos of narcotic drug ‘cannabis’ was found and seized.

The accused are charged with the criminal offence of Organised Crime in violation of Article 250 (2), in conjunction with the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs in violation with Article 195 (1) of the Criminal Code of BiH.

The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
