Acting Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, Gordana Tadić held a Collegium with Prosecutors from all three prosecutorial departments of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, the Special Department for War Crimes, the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption and Department III.

Activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and the implementation of planned priorities in the coming period were discussed at the meetings with the prosecutors, with emphasis on the fight against terrorism, organized crime, corruption, as well as war crimes prosecution.

Planned results expected to be completed by the end of 2017 were presented as well as activities that will be in focus in the upcoming 2018, especially in the segment of European integration process, participation in international operations against the most complex forms of crime together with the countries of the region and the EU, as well as the fight against all forms of crimes under the jurisdiction of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH which present a risk to the rule of law and security of BiH citizens.

The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH will mark 15 years of its establishment next year. A total of 237 employees, including 59 prosecutors, in co-operation with partner police and security agencies in BiH and abroad, are working intensively on strengthening the rule of law in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Since the establishment of the Prosecutor’s Office to date, indictments have been issued against more than 5,000 persons charged with the most complex criminal offenses: organized crime, war crimes, economic and financial crime, terrorism and other criminal offenses within the jurisdiction of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, which is a significant contribution to the establishment of the rule of law and security of citizens in BiH.
