THE ACCUSED MIROSLAV RAKIĆ, VLADISLAV ANĐELIĆ, GORAN KOBAŠ AND MILAN GRGIĆ ENTERED INTO PLEA AGREEMENTS ADMITTING GUILT

Miroslav Rakić aka Ćelo, Vladislav Anđelić aka Čange, Goran Kobaš and Milan Grgić, the accused persons, have entered into Plea Agreements admitting guilt for the committed criminal offenses of Organizing a Group or Association for Smuggling or Distribution of Goods on Which Duties Were Not Paid, as referred to in Article 215, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the criminal offense of Smuggling of Goods, as referred to in Article 214, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Miroslav Rakić aka Ćelo, born on 19 July 1970 in Slavonski Brod, a resident of Šamac, Vladislav Anđelić aka Čange, born on 23 September 1981 in Glamoč, a resident of Šamac, Goran Kobaš, born on 24 March 1989 in Brčko, a resident of Šamac and Milan Grgić, born on 18 September 1978 in Slavonski Brod, a resident of Orašje, have entered into Plea Agreements with a Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.  

The Prosecutor and the aforementioned accused persons agree that, pursuant to these Plea Agreements, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina imposes the following sentences:

-      in relation to the accused Miroslav Rakić, a compound punishment of imprisonment for a term of one (1) year, as a principal punishment, and a fine in the amount of BAM 3000, as a compound accessory punishment  

-      in relation to the accused Vladislav Anđelić, a compound punishment of imprisonment for a term of seven (7) months, as a principal punishment, and a fine in the amount of BAM 500, as an accessory punishment   

-      in relation to the accused Goran Kobaš, a compound suspended sentence  determining the imprisonment for a term of four (4) months, as a principal punishment, which will not be executed provided that the accused does not commit another criminal offense within the next two (2) years, and a fine in the amount of BAM 1000, as an accessory punishment.  

-      in relation to the accused Milan Grgić, a compound punishment of imprisonment for a term of seven (7) months, as a principal punishment, and a fine in the amount of BAM 500, as an accessory punishment.  

By virtue of signing the Plea Agreements, these accused persons have fully admitted the commission of the criminal offenses charged by the Indictment of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina dated 23 April 2014.

With these Plea Agreements, the accused persons have confirmed to have entered their pleas of guilty voluntarily, consciously and with understanding.

By signing the Plea Agreements, the accused persons have waived their right to a trial and right to appeal to the sentences pronounced against them by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

By virtue of signing these Plea Agreements, these accused persons have taken upon themselves an obligation to testify in the proceedings against other accused persons in this case, as well against other perpetrators and criminal offenses in other cases.

The respective Plea Agreements have been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
