INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST AVDO KAPIČIĆ (1974)
20.08.2013. 13:01Prosecutor of Department III issued an indictment against Avdo Kapičić - born on July 14, 1974 in Sarajevo, where he resides, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina - charging him with the criminal offense of Impermissible Use of Copyrights under Article 243, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The indictment charges Avdo Kapičić to have sometime in mid 2013, as the owner of a video store in Sarajevo, put in circulation CDs and DVDs containing illegal copies of copyrights made without permission of the author or other copyright holder as well as that he knew that those were illegal copies made contrary to the applicable legal provisions.
As alleged in the indictment, the authorized officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency found and temporarily seized 4349 DVD covers with different titles and 3890 pirated DVDs with covers containing the card with the records of their renting during the search conducted on June 4, 2013.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
